Iwanaga is a fast-paced arcade shooting game in the vein of Cabal or Blood Brothers, where you have to avoid a sea of gunfire while shooting back at your enemies. The game has multiple difficulty settings and multiple endings.
Your character has two weapons, one that fires magically upon your reticule, and one that fires a stream towards your reticule. The movement controls also aim the reticule, so when you are firing this makes it quite difficult to avoid bullets.
The game has beautiful graphics reminiscent of the SNES days of yore. All the sprites are incredibly detailed. Iwanaga also has a great soundtrack, with some catchy tunes.
I had trouble getting the full screen version of the game to run, unfortunately, and the windowed version has a criminally small resolution which makes it difficult to make out the dark sprites. If you have to play the windowed version then I would recommend lowering your monitor resolution beforehand.
Iwanaga is a great arcade shooter that you don't want to miss.
